About Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County.

Our Vision

A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Our Mission Statement

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Wicomico County Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1987. Since then, Habitat has built 70 homes, 20 of which are in the Church Street neighborhood. We have also acquired 6 more lots and three homes in Church Street that will eventually provide affordable housing for low-income partner families. 2 lots are buildable in the Kirkwood Neighborhood, and 2 lots on the Westside have been acquired. All of our building and renovation projects use sustainable building practices and energy conservation measures.

With over 33 years of service, over 11,000 volunteers, and seven million dollars invested in the community, Habitat continues to improve living conditions for low-income families and address the “aging in place” issues faced by inner-city homeowners.
