Aging in Place Program

Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County deeply understands the desire of seniors to live independently and safely in their own homes. Our Aging in Place program is specifically designed to support this, ensuring that elderly homeowners in Wicomico and Somerset Counties can enjoy their homes for years to come, with dignity and comfort.

Program Overview

Who this program helps the most

Our program is open to:

  • Homeowners in Wicomico or Somerset County.
  • Those with total household income below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI).
  • Individuals who have homeowners insurance (and flood insurance if required).
  • Residents who ensure their property taxes are paid and the home is owner-occupied.

Application Process

How to Apply:

  1. Initial Consultation: Begin with a consultation call to discuss your specific needs and understand each program’s offerings. Call 410-546-1551 to complete the initial intake.
  2. Application: After the consultation, we’ll provide you with an application via email or mail.
  3. Documentation: Gather all required documents for your application.
  4. Appointment: Schedule a meeting with our Critical Home Repair assistant to submit your application and documents.
