Salisbury, MD, October 6, 2025 – Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County (HFHWC) extends its sincere gratitude to the M&T Charitable Foundation for its generous support of affordable housing in the local community. Local representatives of M&T Bank: Monty Sayler, Senior Vice-President, and Tara Blaine, Vice-President, Business Banking Relationships, presented the nonprofit organization with a $7,500 check.
“We are fortunate to have the support of M&T Bank,” says Christina Williams, Director of Development at HFHWC. “Through their volunteer efforts, representation on our board and committees, and financial investment into safe and affordable homebuilding, M&T shows it is truly invested in the well-being of our community.”
Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County continues to work alongside local families, businesses, and organizations to build and repair homes for those in need, ensuring a brighter future for the entire community. The organization is currently raising funds for its next two new homes, both to be built on adjacent lots at Christopher Street in Salisbury, MD. The project will break ground after $150,000 is raised to connect water and sewer, remove trees, and prep the site for foundation work. Habitat Partner Families have already been selected to purchase these houses and are eager to see construction of their new homes begin.
